Domain Insights: The RAN Dashboard
On this page, you’ll learn how to dive deeper into Domain Insights to maximize the benefits of Anomaly Detection.
The Domains
AGILITY has four domain-specific dashboards, including:
The Radio Access Network Dashboard
The IMS Core Network Dashboard
The Core PS Network Dashboard
Each domain dashboard pinpoints the source of network problems at cell sites, thereby automating monotonous tasks & significantly reducing network engineers' workloads.
What are the Domain Insights Dashboards?
Each network's individualized dashboard slices and dices network data to provide you with a view of the anomalies detected on the lowest hierarchy available. By zoning in on anomaly details, AGILITY AD exposes the root causes of network issues in just a few clicks
The Domain Insights Dashboards provide users with the following:
-> Filters to refine search criteria
-> An interactive map that allows users to zone in on specific regions, cell tower clusters, and individual towers.
-> Access to the Anomaly Impact Details Page
->In-depth anomaly details such as:
o Start Date & Time
o Last Updated
o Radio Cell Count
o Radio Site Name
o Radio Network Type
o Duration
o Class
o Anomaly Score
o Impacted Subs – VoLTE
o VoLTE Impact
How to Access the Domain Insights Dashboards
There are two main routes to access the Domain Insights Dashboard from the Anomaly Detection Homepage. The Domain Insights Dashboard can be accessed by selecting the Domain Insights menu or selecting a data visualization from the Homepage:
Expand the Domain Insights Menu
Expand the Domain Insights menu icon.
The available domains will be displayed.
2. Select a Domain name from the menu. You'll be redirected to the applicable Domain Insights Dashboard.
Access Domain Insights via Data Visualizations
To access the Domain Insights for any given data visualization:
Click on a data point on any data visualizations (alert cards, graphs, & charts) found on the Homepage:
The Alerts Cards: You can click on any Alert card with an Alert tally greater than zero to be directed to the Insights Dashboard for the Alerts listed.
The Probable Service Impact Graphs: You can click on any bar on the graph to be directed to the corresponding Insights Dashboard.
Subscribers Impacted by Network Element: You can click on any bar on the graph to be directed to the corresponding Domain Insights page.
VIP Subscribers Impacted by Network Element: You can click on any bar on the graph to be directed to the corresponding Domain Insights page.
Service Impact Heat Map: You can click on any region of the map to be directed to the corresponding Domain Insights page.
The Anomaly Count per Network Domain Graph: You can click on any data point on the graph to be directed to the corresponding Domain Insights page.
Top Anomaly Classes Detected: You can also access the Domain Insights Dashboard via the Top Anomaly Classes Detected graph. Click on a bar on the graph. The graph view will change from displaying the Anomaly Count by Class to displaying the number of anomalies for the selected class at every 15-minute interval. You can access the Domain Insights Dashboard by clicking on any data point on the graph.
You'll be redirected to the applicable Domain Insights Dashboard.
Accessing the RAN Dashboard
To access the RAN Dahboard:
Click the AGILITY icon.
You will be redirected to the AGLILITY home page.
Click the square icon.
The Domain Insights menu will expand.
Select "Radio Access Network."
You'll be redirected to the Radio Access Network (RAN) Domain Insights Dashboard. ( To access domain insights for a different domain, click on the desired Domain name from the Continuous Assurance menu. Then, you'll be redirected to the applicable Domain Insights Dashboard.
Default Filters: When the Dashboard is accessed through the menu, it automatically reflects the past 3 hours and 15 minutes of activity on the selected Network.
Auto Refresh
Auto Refresh is the default filter for each domain dashboard. When Auto Refresh is toggled on
Set Filters
Toggle the Auto Refresh toggle off to refine the dashboard results using filters.
To use filters, select Show Filters.
The filter menu will expand.
Use the Start Date and Time filter to narrow the search results to reflect the timeframe you want to investigate.
Options for entering the Start Date & Time:
Manually in the format (MM/DD/YYYY 00:00) *Please use Military Time for the 24-hour clock format.
Through the interactive calendar icon and clock.
Use the End Date & Time filter to narrow the search results to reflect the timeframe you want to investigate.
Options for entering the End Date & Time:
Manually in the format (MM/DD/YYYY 00:00) *Please use Military time for the 24-hour clock format.
Through the interactive calendar icon and clock.
Use the Radio Network Type drop-down to select the network type you want to investigate.
Use the Anomaly Class drop-down to select specific anomaly classes.
Use the Anomaly Duration filter to select the time duration of the anomalies you want to view insights for.
For example, select:
-> "0-15 min" to view anomalies that lasted for 0-15 minutes
-> "15-30 min" to view anomalies that lasted for 15-30 minutes
-> "30-45 min" to view anomalies that lasted for 30-45 minutes
-> "More than 45 min" to view anomalies that lasted more than 45 minutesUse the VoLTE - Service Impact filter.
Refine the results to reflect:
-> "All": All anomalies impacting VoLTE service
-> "Current": The anomalies currently impacting VoLTE service.Use the Data-Service Impact filter to refine the results to reflect:
-> "All": All anomalies impacting Data service
-> "Current": The anomalies currently impacting VoLTE service.Use the IMSI (International Mobile Subscriber Identity) number filter to view the anomaly impact details for a specific network user.
*To input an IMSI, type the number into the IMSI field.Use the Regions filter to view the anomaly impact details for specific regions.
Use the Custom Regions drop-down to view detailed anomaly insights for the custom regions in your network.
Use the Location ID Area drop-down to view detailed anomaly insights sorted by custom locations.
(Location ID Areas are smaller and more precise geographical areas than the regional areas listed in the "Regions" drop-down.)Use the Radio Site Name filter to write the name of the site that you'd like to investigate. The results will populate any detected anomalies for the site.
Enter a cell name into the Radio Cell Name drop-down to view detailed anomaly impact information for a particular Radio Cell.
Use the Customer Group drop-down to view detailed anomaly impacts for specific Customer Groups.
Customers groups are configured by Ooredoo and include groupings such as:
-Small Business
-Medium Enterprise
-High-Value Customers
-Ooredoo FamilyUse the (number of) Impacted Subscribers -VoLTE field to refine anomaly results to reflect specific ranges of customers impacted by anomalies and enter the desired range of impacted subscribers into the "From" & "To" fields.
Use the (number of) Impacted Subscribers -Data field to refine anomaly results to reflect specific ranges of customers impacted by anomalies and enter the desired range of impacted subscribers into the "From" & "To" fields.
Select an option from the Root Cause Analysis drop-down to refine your search results to depict only a) anomalies causing problems to neighbor cells by selecting Consequence Anomalies (Correlated) or b) anomalies with an identified Root Cause by selecting Root Cause Anomalies.
Optional: Check the "Only With Critical Alarms" check box to refine the search results to depict only anomalies with critical alarms. Critical Alarms indicate that swift remediation action is required to prevent customer-facing impacts.
Click APPLY. Your chosen filters will be reflected on the dashboard.
22. Optional: Once you've set your filters, you can hide them. Select “Hide Filters” if you'd like to collapse the filters drop-down and enhance your view of the results for your query.
When you'd like the dashboard to reflect real-time network occurrences, slide the Auto Refresh toggle to the right. You will not be able to select fIlters when Auto Refresh is toggled on
