Enable Custom Diagnostics

Overview
The Custom Diagnostics feature allows admin users to input vendor-specific diagnostics into AGILITY. This capability enhances AGILITY's diagnostic accuracy by using tailored entries for specific issues encountered in network performance.

 

Accessing the Feature

The Custom Diagnostics feature is accessible from the Application Settings page.

Steps:

  1. Click on Application settings

  2. Select Custom Diagnostics

  3. Import

  4. Upload CSV

Only admin users can access and manage custom diagnostics.

Uploading Custom Diagnostics

Users can input custom diagnostics in two ways:

  1. CSV File Upload:

    • Users can upload a CSV file containing custom diagnostics.

    CSV Attributes:

    • Protocol: The communication protocol (e.g., SIP).

    • Source: The source of the diagnostic information (e.g., Nokia).

    • Error Code: The code associated with the error.

    • Error Code Description: A description of the error code.

    • Cause Code: The root cause code related to the error.

    • Cause Code Description: A detailed description of the diagnostic issue.

    Example CSV Structure:

Protocol, Source, Error Code, Error Code Description, Cause Code, Cause Code Description SIP, Nokia, 504, Server Time-out, 16045, REGISTER is for P-CSCF. The CSCF SIP Transaction Handler detects that Timer F fires in the PROCEEDING state at the P-CSCF.

 

  1. Manual Entry: Users can also add custom entries individually directly in the UI.

If no custom diagnostics are available for a specific error code, AGILITY will notify the user that the cause code is not found and will refrain from falling back to its built-in diagnostics.
